Artist Statement
Hello my name is Tiffany and I am a media major at Hunter College. When I was younger my father was a taxi driver and he would constantly bring me on rides. Before the creation of Uber and Lyft, taxi drivers had to rely on building relationships with their clients in order to get constant call backs. My father would constantly tell stories about his life and in return his customers would also share their stories. The taxi drives were constantly filled with laughter, crazy topics, sad life stories and many different perspectives. As I got older I preferred fiction to non-fiction but I still wanted my characters to have the same authenticity and life stories so that they could be relatable to a diverse audience. I am passionate about story telling and learning from different point of views. Living in New York has provided me with a different outlook in the world.
